Whats inside your mattress?

BONNELL

The traditional, hour-glass shaped spring unit provides your body with the correct amount of support without compromising on comfort. A mattress made with the Bonnell unit is not too firm yet not too soft.

ZONED DOUBLE TEMPERED BONNELL SPRING

Zoned support divides the mattress into sections giving different support in certain areas to provide natural spinal alignment and extra lumbar support where you need it most. When we lie down nearly 50% of our weight is in our hip zone, therefore, it is this area that needs additional support, whereas, areas like our shoulders need more cushioning.

POCKET COIL

This is the most up to date and advanced spring system available. It provides unprecedented comfort through individually wrapped springs which follow the natural contour of your body providing optimal orthopaedic and chiropractic support. It eliminates partner disturbance as well as creating less pressure on the body than a conventional spring mattress. A Pocket Coil mattress helps to maintain natural spinal alignment and takes sleeping comfort to a whole new level.

POLYFOAM

Almost every mattress uses this type of foam. It is a versatile, predictable material which provides an extremely comfortable sleeping experience. Higher density foam will last longer and provide more support – however it also costs a little more.

MEMORY FOAM

Polyurethane based, high density foam used initially in the bedding industry for the alleviation of pressure sores. Memory foam reduces the need to toss and turn during the night by up to 80%!!! The need to toss and turn is due to the creation of pressure points and one of the most common reasons for a restless and disturbed sleep. Most people actually suffer from this. With memory foam you will probably get the best night’s sleep you ever had. Anyone suffering from arthritic or rheumatic conditions, joint inflammation, skeletal diseases or disorders, neck and back problems etc. could hugely benefit.

LATEX

Latex is high-density, extremely resilient and luxurious foam which feels very light and bouncy. It provides the perfect balance between comfort and support. Due to latex being produced with an open-cell structure it allows air to flow through it. Major benefits of beds constructed with latex include resistance to dust mites and other allergens. It also tends to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer making it a fabulous choice year-round.

JACQUARD FABRIC

Jacquard weaving is a process of raising each thread independently of the others bringing you a superior, durable product.

KNIT FABRIC

Knitted fabrics are soft and voluminous and are a perfect addition to the comfort of a luxurious mattress.

WHAT IS FLAME-RETARDANT

International safety standards and fire regulations require flame retardant materials to be used in the manufacture of mattresses for the hospitality industry. Fire-retardant fabrics resist burning, ensuring your clients are safe whilst staying with you. A certificate of flame retardancy as well as international test results for our knit fabrics can be provided on request.

ALOE VERA KNIT

Best known for its natural healing properties – Aloe Vera protects and regenerates skin as well as offering anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. In addition, a mattress quilted with Aloe Vera fabric provides a softer fabric surface delivering a pleasant sleeping environment and ensuring a better sleep.

BAMBOO FABRIC

Bamboo yarn is made from 100% bamboo pulp fibre that, as a totally biodegradable and sustainable natural product, is fast becoming the most eco-friendly material of the 21st century. The microscopic gaps in the bamboo fibre ensure that bamboo fabric always feels cool and fresh – a form of natural air-conditioning for your bed! This micro structure also gives Bamboo ticking its suppleness, and silky and luxurious feel.

One of Bamboo’s main benefits is its inherent anti-bacterial properties. A constant antibiosis in bamboo and bamboo yarn yields a unique resistance to pests, bacteria and fungi. This makes Bamboo the ideal material for mattress ticking for people with allergies. Bamboo’s anti-bacterial and fungicidal components also serve as a natural deodorant. This ensures that Bamboo mattress ticking always smells as fresh as new.
